ecatools software package provides Multitrack-capable audio recorder and effect processor (tools), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ecatools
ecatools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ecatools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ecatools *
You will get with ecatools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
